Empowerment Program for Cassava Farmers through Developing the Community Based-Agroindustries
Based on definition of food security from FAO (1996) and Laws of Indonesian Republic No. 7/1996, there are 4 components that must be considered in order to gain food security, they are sufficient food supplies; stability of food supplies without fluctuation from season to season or year to year, accessibility to food itself, quality/safety of food.
The issue of food security concept effected by the decreasing of capacity of domestic products with growth less than 1 % in average while the number of people is increasing to 1.2 % a year.
